Of Results And Morons

Ah.
It's that time of the year again.
Results of certain exams taken in 2007.
And what do we have this time around...
...a top scorer with 21As for SPM.

IS THAT CRAZY OR WHAT??

That dude, to me at least, is nuts!
There's absolutely NO POINT in taking 21 subjects.
All it proves is that he's a bit of a psycho.
To quote my mum, "He's a jack of all trades, master of none" or something like that anyway.
Universities will not care about the number of As you get, all they care about is whether you meet their requirements. Or not.
OKAY fine, I guess that dude will probably get this amazing scholarship where he probably won't have to pay even ONE CENT.
He'll probably have sell his soul to the Devil for that though

Whatever it is, I don't consider that an accomplishment.
I consider that insanity!
He needs to be checked into a mental asylum!!!

Forgetting that, congrats to my dear cousin SHUYIN for her AMAZING results!

Almost every year, after results are released, there will be stories in the newspapers of students boasting about 'studying for 1001 hours per day or sacrificing TV for the whole year,' or something equally stupid.

Seriously...WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ALL ABOUT? Shows how self-absorbed that person is.
I'm very sure that they're exaggerating. NOT IMPRESSIVE.
Be more humble. Say you've studied really well, or that you had allocated your studying and relaxation time wisely. Or something along those lines anyway. I am pretty sure that's closer to the truth than 'I SPENT MY ENTIRE YEAR LOCKED UP IN THE ROOM STUDYING 24/7'.

With that being said, this year's top scorers are actually not so boastful. Thank god for that!

And another thing...why is almost every top scorer an aspiring doctor/surgeon/pharmacist/anything related to medicine? Aren't there any other fields they're interested in? Business? Graphics? Politics? Physics? History? Or are those subjects too 'uncool' for them to express interest in? I don't see that many medicinal practitioners around, to tell you the truth.

Yeah yeah I know I'm ranting again, but who cares, I rant a lot ;)

The Aftermath

Well well, the state I live in is now ruled by a new government.
Should I be happy or should I be nervous?
Generally I am excited and absolutely happy to see some changes at last, but then again, I don't know if things will work out fine...if anything goes wrong, it'll be 5 darn long years. Still, one can only hope for the best right?
One should be optimistic. On the bright side, I'll be able to vote in the next election.

You know what, from this election...it only just occured to me, that political science is quite an interesting field...then again, I've always been interested in social sciences and the study of human behaviour. Hmmm...I wonder if...

...moving on to lighter topics, Friday night was quite fun, minus the whole 'Mizi Place' disaster. Seriously, the food there sucks and the service is terrible! Penangites, and well, tourists too, avoid that place if you can. If you're wondering where this Mizi place is, it's one of the restaurants in New World Park. Yes, they have a lot of customers, but that doesn't mean that the food there is good. Indeed, it is FAR from good. Avoid. Mizi. At. All. Costs.

...however Gundams aren't suppose to look cute =P

Other than that, well, I've been lazy to to update my blog for the past few weeks.

Mum bought me a new printer!! Yippee!! *strokes shiny new printer*
I'm not sure if it's good or not, but it looks great: black and silver! So sleek, so...beautiful!! =P

I'm looking at it's specifications now, and I can't believe this...but I actually understand the terms used. Terms I would not have understood in 2007! I must thank computing for this... O.o

Reason why I have a new printer - not because the old one sucks - hard to find ink for the Dell printer. I mean, I have to order it online from the Dell website, or call some toll-free number and guess what...THE INK AIN'T CHEAP! Might as well get a cheaper printer, with cheaper ink ya?

On another note...I now own Gundam Exia BWAHAHAHA! (a Setsuna figurine to go with it would be nice =D)
Thanks to Trix and Wai Yee - it's my early birthday present! *grins like an idiot*
I have yet to fix it, but once I'm done, I'll take pics and post it here k? *wink wink*

Also...I've finished watching Gravitation! After what...two, three years? And in just two days too.
Congratulations to myself! *grins even more idiotically*
I must say that the story's a little...idiotic. And within that show lies one of the biggest idiots I've ever known...yes an even bigger idiot than Suzaku...Shuichi Shindo! Sorry Mei, but I just don't understand why you were such a big fan of him. Or are you still a big fan? ^_^' Unlike him, K and Ryuichi are pretty amusing characters.

Thanks to that, I'm inspired to list down annoying and silly characters I've seen in my life so far...number one unfortunately goes to...

1. Rikuson Hakugen from Koutetsu Sangokushi (Oh how could you have voiced him Mamo! *sobs*)
2. Shuichi Shindo, Gravitation (...sorry but you REALLY annoy me. I feel bad for Yuki)
3. Suzaku Kururugi, Code Geass (season 1 at least...let's see how he'll be in S2)
4. Lacus Clyne of Gundam Seed/Destiny (...little miss perfect!)
5. Cloud Strife, FFVII (stupid idiot! Redeemed yourself a little in Advent Childern though)
6. Peter Petrelli, season 2 of Heroes (you disappoint me! *sobs even harder*)
7. Kira Yamato, Gundam Seed/Destiny (...crybaby)
8. Lunamaria and Meyrin Hawke, GSD (stupid pink-haired idiots! You ruined ASUCAGA!!)
9. Shinn Asuka, GSD (more bearable compared to numbers 1 - 8, but still irritating!)
10. Luke fon Fabre, TOTA (idiotic, but kinda cute =P)
11. Vaan, FFXII (to this day, I still don't see the relevance of his character to the story. AND HE'S THE MAIN CHARACTER!)
12. Alan Shore, Boston Legal (YES he is a good character Sharyl, but let's face it - he is kinda annoying :P)
13. Tamaki Suoh, Ouran (yeah, I know I'm a huge fan of him and all, but he IS an idiot. Lol.)

Why am I being so mean today? *shrugs* Yeah, the post before this was made on the 14th too (hence the title =.=") but I guess Blogger's a little slow. Anyway...HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY AGAIN! The last 40 minutes of it in Malaysia anyway. Lol. Enjoy.

Starting with computing on Monday.
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate tests and exams?
I want more holidays *pouts*

Anyway, although this is suppose to be a happy day for all (okay, for some people at least), but I feel the need to complain about a certain classmate, a selfish, annoying one. I don't care if they come across my blog by accident or something, and read this, I just want to complain!

It's amazing how selfish some people can be. There's this girl in my class, let's just call her X. You see, our Econs lecturer gave her some notes (two weeks ago), and asked her to get it photostated for the whole class. Well, X didn't do so. Her excuse? The photostat lady (sorry, can't think of anything else to call her) told her that she has to wait for 45mins to get it done, and since she couldn't wait, she just photostated it for herself, and left us all hanging. AND she's still keeping the notes to herself after two weeks. Until the sir mentioned it. Wtf? I don't think she even gave her own friends the notes. Talk about selfish! She could have at least left the notes in the reading room, tell the lady to get it done by this week, and then inform us to go collect it. Or something! Geez

Oh, and that's the same girl who only, yes ONLY, wears sleeveless or spaghetti-strapped tops. Or something that is really menjolok mata. Girl, don't you own anything else? Something with more CLOTH preferably? I know you feel the absolute need to show off your apparently amazing shoulders and legs, but really, that backfires. You look ridiculous! You're spending hours in an air-conditioned room, listening to boring lectures for God's sake. Not a party or something!

And then there's another girl who always dresses CUTE. Pigtails, short skirts and shorts, cute tops and a really squeaky voice to go with it. To those who know me well, you know how I feel towards people who dress inappropriately! I mean come on...pigtails? CUTE PIGTAILS? How old are you, FIVE? Sheesh.

*cough* I know I'm being mean, but these people really gets on my nerves. And I'm not the only one who feels that way to, I KNOW.

I've finally completed it!
After more than a year =P

A happy ending for all the characters, but somehow I don't feel touched.
I guess I'm into those sad, and ambiguous endings. More interesting.

One of the silliest final battles I've ever encountered!

Anyway, I'm glad I've finally finished it! *twirls around happily*

Of Rats and Mice

I know this is like two days late, but anyway

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!

It's the year of the rat and all so everyone - be kind to those....annoying rodents =P

As most of you guys know, I went to KL on Monday. Returned on Thursday, the first day of CNY.
Well. I suppose you're expecting some amazing narrative about my grand experience in KL or something.
Unfortunately you will not be getting that...because I basically did NOTHING in KL besides walking around the same bloody mall for three days in a row!
THE SAME FREAKING MALL!!

I mean, it's KL, there's tons of shopping malls all over, but guess what, I had to be stuck at MIDVALLEY MEGAMALL, and there's nothing there that interests me! Seriously!

I wanted to get some new games, sadly there wasn't a single decent game store in MIDVALLEY MEGAMALL! The only bright side was that I found Tamaki (finally!):



...and a cheaper version of Neil Gaiman's Stardust (the book, not the movie) from MPH. Oh and several other books from Borders at The Gardens.

Other than that, NOTHING!! Wanted to get something Sora or KH2-ish for Trix and Becky, but there's nothing there! And other souvenirs? Nothing suitable or affordable either!

Couldn't even meet Chris at 1Utama, we were out of time, and furthermore, we had no transport!

That's it, the next trip to KL, I will not be going anywhere near Midvalley!
