Music: Destiny's Child - Say My Name
Ah it takes me 5 days to blog about Batman =P (am I lazy or what??!!)
Anyway, I watched The Dark Knight on Wednesday (the 23rd). Treated my parents to the movie, as it is my dad's birthday next Wednesday (in three days)and that's my present for him.
The movie? It rocked! (My dad kept raving about Jack Nicholson though *rolls eyes*)
Heath Ledger was fantastic as the Joker, it's a pity that he never lived to see his own masterpiece =( Why do the good die young?? WHY GOD WHY??? *wipes away a tear*
Ahem *clears throat*
I feel sorry for Bruce Wayne aka Batman because the Joker? Well, he totally stole every scene away from dear old Batty. I can remember the Joker's every movement (okay, I'm exaggerating) but dear old Brucey...I can't remember anything about him. Other than him crashing his Lamborghini (that poor car! Batty, if you don't want it please give it to me, mmkay?)
...
Did I mention that I have a costing test tomorrow? Here I am...BLOGGING instead of studying...ahahahaha.... =/

Another Random Update
I was just watching reruns of ANTM Season 7 (I think, the one with Caridee?) and you know what? Miss Know-It-All 'BJ' reminds me of that annoying little bitch Melrose!
Their manner of talking.
Their know-it-all ways.
And from what I can see, BJ's quite competitive.
And whiny.
'This is a discrimination!'
'Touch my body (sir)!'
Sounds familiar anyone? =)
PS: I'll be watching The Dark Knight tomorrow, and everyone's been telling me how wonderful it is. Will be watching it with my parents, since my dad REALLY wants to watch it and it's his birthday next week so this will be a birthday treat for him =D (that way I don't have to hunt for a bday present).

Okay...
Music: Somewhere Only We Know - Keane
Mood: Grumpy
Alright, an update here, although I don't really have much to update on.
Anyway. I'm totally swamped with assignments and tests now. And the finals are in about...3 weeks? Damn it. I'm really unprepared, out of 4 subjects I only understand 1 (that would be law) so basically, I'm really screwed. 3 weeks. Omg. That's like really soon T.T *needs to start studying*
Btw, remember Miss Know-It-All? I mentioned her a few posts ago. It's tiresome to type out 'Know-It-All' so let me just call her...BJ.
She is really getting on my nerves. Seriously.
No wait, let me rephrase that - she's getting on everyone's nerves, I think.
The sound of her voice is really...nauseating. If I had a baseball bat around me I'd have hit her with that a long, long time ago.
She's so annoying that I'm actually blogging about her! And I don't usually blog about people I don't care about but yeah. She's special. Specially annoying.
I don't care if she (or any of her friends) stumbles upon my blog and figures out who I'm talking about; I've had enough of her. Two words for her, only two words: SHUT UP!
Yeah I know I'm being mean but what the heck. I'm feeling grumpy! *pouts*

A Special Thank You To A Few People
Music: Resonance - T.M. Revolution
It's 3am in the morning and I can't sleep so here I am, blogging.
Who do I wanna thank, you might wonder?
Well, I'm in melancholic mood again.
Suddenly I really miss studying law.
Not business law, but like, actual law ya know, like in IPG (now PTPL) law and all?
Sometimes I can't help but wonder...have I made a mistake by choosing commerce over law? Sigh. Only time will tell I guess.
But for now, I have some thank yous to make.
First of all I'd like to thank Mr. Siraj, Mr. Khoo, Mr. 'Fish' (I can't remember his name! Crap...what's his REAL name Sharyl? Tell me!! Lol.) and yes, even Ms. Saw.
And also I'd like to thank Xiana :) Thanks so much for your help! So sorry to bother you right after your exams, just when you'd want to forget about it for a little while.
Without you guys, I don't think I would have been able to do my Business Law assignment. So, thank you. And you know what, although I skipped many classes and spent most of my time daydreaming in class last time? It was fun. It really was.
I just HAVE to get this off my chest - guess what I found out while I was looking through my friends list in friendster? David's in it! Yes, that David from class, that David who dates you know who. Lol! How on earth did he get into my list? Did I add him or something? Did HE add me? O.o Wtf I don't even know him. I just know who he is. Lol. LOL. *dies laughing*

Of PDA and Know-It-Alls
Music: Death and All His Friends - Coldplay
Sorry it took so long for me to update this. Got lazy =P
I guess some of you are wondering what's up with the morbid music I'm listening to? Well it's not that morbid. Okay maybe it is, what with cemeteries and death and ghosts, but hey! Blame Coldplay! All I care about is the music. It's nice, that's it, I don't care what it's about =P
Right, on to the main topic.
Yes PDA, Public Display of Affection. Wondering why I'm blogging about this? Well it started last Thursday. Or was it Wednesday? Not sure but anyway. See, we were hanging out on the sixth floor of Inti, and there was this girl. Apparently a friend of HM's. Or at least a schoolmate? Not sure about that either so um whatever =P Anyway this girl, her boyfriend was like, all over her. Kissing her, hugging her, swinging her around - and we were sitting there watching. When we were suppose to be studying. I know, but heck it's very distracting to see such...obvious displays of affection!
Now I don't know about you, but I find that ridiculous and disgusting. A little PDA is all right I guess, but when you're swinging your girlfriend around and kissing her like everywhere, in front of EVERYONE else - now that's just lame and showy. C'mon people...get a room! What are you trying to do, make us envy you? I know you have a LOVING boyfriend and all but get over yourself. I don't think anyone else cares about you or your boyfriend so yeah, keep your affections to yourself.
Next up, know-it-alls. Let me ask you a question - do you find know-it-alls annoying? Well I do. I will not mention names, but let's just say there's this really annoying know-it-all in my class. Just. Really. Annoying. I really, REALLY feel like telling this person, 'You know what, absolutely NO ONE will miss hearing your voice, so shut up, k?'
Who else agrees with me??

Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends
Music: Lovers In Japan/Reign of Love - Coldplay
Okay so I downloaded the album a few days ago, and I'm currently listening to it.
And I thought I'd write a review for Viva, so here goes nothing.

Love the album cover lol. Funky.
Well...what can I say about the album...it is not what I expected it to be at all, to be honest.
I read some reviews for it from a few prestigious...uh...reviewers, and I have to admit that I'm a little surprise at the rather high ratings. Overrated, definitely.
In my humble opinion, it's just a little too mediocre. Nothing special, none of the songs really stand out other than the lead singles, Viva La Vida and Violet Hill, and perhaps a few other songs. And is it just me or do they sound WAAAAAY too much like U2? The Coldplay magic is just not there anymore.
The first half of the album pretty much transported me to slumberland. I just wanted to snuggle under my blankets and sleep. It's so freaking boring and monotonous, seriously. Suddenly I understood what my mum meant by "Aiya Coldplay's songs are so boring la. Why you listen to them ah?" And why the Brits voted them as the Band Most Likely To Put You To Sleep.
The second half is a little better, I guess? Really enjoyed listening to Cemeteries Of London, Viva La Vida, Violet Hill, Death and All His Friends and Strawberry Swings. But everything else? Just meh. (This feels like Minutes to Midnight all over again...another U2 inspired band eh)
Truthfully, it's not a bad album at all, but it's not really my cup of tea. I'd give it 6.5/10, and I'm being quite generous since I hated X&Y.
To those who feel that Keane is just a carbon copy of Coldplay, well I'll have to disagree, I feel that Keane's music has a distinctly different and unusual style. I would describe their music as 'hauntingly melodic' lol. And I prefer Keane over Coldplay if you wanna know (If you didn't realize before that I'm a huge, huge fan of Keane, well now you know =D). Now Coldplay sounds almost completely like U2. It's not like I have something against U2, I like U2, but I just don't like it when a band sounds way too much like another band. I mean, you're Coldplay, so sound like Coldplay, not U2! Yes, I know that both Keane and Coldplay were inspired by U2, but Coldplay took it a little too far.
Here's hoping that Keane's third album won't sound too much like U2 either.
It's supposedly coming out in September! I can't wait for it, but I just hope it won't be as disappointing as Viva.

A Formal Disaster
Music: The Time of My Life by David Cook
...the budget presentation yesterday was a TOTAL disaster seriously =/
It all started the moment I set foot on the 5th floor of Inti at 8am in the morning. I stepped out of the lift and saw some classmates of mine all dressed in formal clothes. Pants/ skirts, shirts/blouses, like how one would dress if they were working in some high-end business company or something. And what was I wearing wearing? I assure you, it was anything BUT formal.
The first thing that crossed my mind was DAMN IT WE'RE SO SCREWED.
I looked around for my other group members(it was a group assignment) and guess what - the four of us (at that moment) were the only ones in casual clothing. Obviously we were in serious trouble.
Luckily the presentation was for our afternoon class, which would only start at noon. Thank god I live nearby, so I could go home during the break in between classes to change into something more presentable. Suet Nee was not so fortunate though, she lives in Farlim or Paya Terubong I think, so she had to leave midway through our 8 - 11am Finance class. Santi had her aunt(or rather her aunt's friend) send her something formal lol. Haan-Ming(her apartment's near my house) and I left around 10.30(had to ask Mr Loo's permission to leave early) to get into our formal clothes. At least she had something suitable to wear. Me? Well I don't own anything formal, so I had to ransack my mum's closet (I'm so not joking!) for clothes. It took me about 40 minutes to find something that fits, as everything else was too lose, and left the house around 11.30, arrived back in Inti by 11.45.
You'd think that I'd at least go through what I was suppose to present in that 15 minutes right? But nope, that's not what I did. I just stood around mumbling to myself to keep cool. And yeah, I was so 'cool', I didn't even know what was in the slides I was suppose to present. Uh huh. That bad. To cut a not-a-very-long-story even shorter, we were totally unprepared. And we were the first group. Yeah. Wonderful huh? There was nothing else that I could do but read the slides blindly(and we were a little too short and precise, to be honest) and finish it off as fast as I could. And what was the feedback from Ms Leon? "Amanda, you seemed to be rushing through the whole thing, and it looks like you were thinking, 'let this be over asap!'. Also, you lacked eye contact.'
Of course I lacked eye contact woman! I was too busy staring blankly at the slides, trying to make sense of what was in there! *cough* Ok, ok I know it's my fault for not going through slides the night before but...(Seriously, it just totally slipped my mind! I know, bad excuse but hey I'm not lying =/ Honest!)
Hopefully that would be the first and last time I screw up an important thing like that.
Lesson learned. That. Will. Not. Happen. Again.

...the budget presentation yesterday was a TOTAL disaster seriously =/
