Blogging From Somewhere Other Than Home

As you guys should know by now, my computer's dead. KO. Kaput. And it won't be fixed until this Friday!

Well, at least it'll be fixed soon. Hopefully it doesn't need reformatting. Or else...all my D.Gray-man, Soul Eater and Gossip Girls! I'll have to redownload all of those then IF reformatting is necessary. Boohoo.

Anyway, yeah I'm blogging from somewhere else.

Let's see...I have a ton of assignments to complete, starting with the individual Marketing assignment due on Saturday. Actually we were suppose to pass it up this Friday, but somehow someone convinced Dr. Z to extend the due date...by 12 hours.

Other than that, there's the group Marketing assignment. And Moral (tough questions to answer, urgh). And Management. 2 assignments for that as well, individual and group.

Random Thought:

John Mayer
Jason Mraz
James Morrison
Jamie Cullum
Jack Johnson

What do they have in common?

If you've notice, a lot of the male singer-songwriters' names begin with the letter 'J'. Mmmhmmmm. Don't ask me why I'm blogging about this. Totally random. And most of their initials are J.M. - John Mayer, Jason Mraz, James Morrison. If Jason Castro (American Idol Season 8 3rd Runner Up) were to release an album, there'll be one more 'J' in the business. Uh huh. Some food for thought.

Peace out, people.

16th September 2008?

I usually try to keep my blog politics-free (mostly because I can't stand politics) but the recent situation in my own country is really disturbing, and that encourages me to give my two cents on it.

I've been reading some blogs and websites, and some comments by some of the public (and politicians) really saddens me.

The way I see it, most people still don't get it, even after 51 years of living together in the same country. Some may wonder, why can't so and so sacrifice their identity in order to assimilate with *my* culture instead? To those who really think that way, I'd like to pose you the same question: why aren't you doing the sacrificing instead? Are you trying to encourage hypocrisy and to a certain extent, racism? This world, is full of people with different thoughts and culture and religion. By asking that particular question, it shows that you're just not tolerant of anyone else's views and cultures other than your own. Unity does not necessarily mean that everyone has to have the same identity. What are we now, brainwashed zombies?

In my honest humble opinion, unity should be based on a common goal, not one common religion or race or whatever biased segregations. A common goal that everyone agrees on, regardless of race or religion or even political views. A suitable goal for Malaysia right now would be to maintain the peace and harmony of our country.

It is sad, really sad, to see most of the Malaysian citizens bickering about our differences. And now it seems that the politicians are actually encouraging this bickering. My wish, is to see everyone get along well with each other; no discrimination, no racism, no lording over other races/religions. The keyword is respect, people, R-E-S-P-E-C-T. And fairness of course.

What with racist statements, unjustified arrests, 'flip-flopping' politicians and the uncertainty of the ruling coalition, can we really afford to wait 5 years for the next election in order to see some changes? Truth is, I don't know, I really don't.

However it might turn out, I just hope that we could at least have a semi-happy ending.

FFX-2 - Argh

Music: Kings of Leon - Sex On Fire

Would you believe this?

I've basically finished playing FFX-2 but guess what - I can't end the game cos the stupid disc got stuck during the ending scenes!

Unbelievable! *pouts*

Not that the final boss was hard to beat or anything, but it's just - ARGH!

Unbelievable!

Feeling the Need to Bitch About Something. Or Someone.

Well well, the really bitchy side of me comes out sometimes, once in a blue moon. Or so. And it so happens that right now, it's out in full force.

Oh yeah, this is gonna be a total bitching session.

Yes. Let me begin.

It's nothing personal, really it isn't but I came across this blog an hour ago or so. No, I didn't discover it by accident. It's not the blog of someone I know (perhaps some people I know might know this person I'm talking about though). Yes it's rude to bitch about people I don't know but whatever, I'm in bitchy mood I guess?

Anyway. On to the main course.

This particular blog I'm talking about belongs to this a girl, a model. Quite young. Yes a Malaysian. A Penangite in fact. The thing that really bothered me was the things she blogged about. Showing off her model boyfriend or whatever. Takut orang tak tau u ada bf kah? Think people wanna steal him ah? Not entau also lah! Cheh. Ooh ooh and this is the best part - this chick, whoever she may be, actually took a picture of herself and the boyfriend - KISSING. Like wtf. Normal pix, ok lah, but kissing??? Oi, get a room k?

Here's a really good question: is that really necessary? It's not a private blog. Anyone and everyone can view it. And to take a picture of yourself kissing your bf is just stupid. Showing off? Full of yourself? I don't know, tell me what you think readers. I'd like to know your thoughts. Whatever it is, I felt pretty disgusted reading that girl's blog. Maybe you'd think that I'm just jealous cos I'm blogging about something like this? Well I can assure you it's SO not that. It just horrifies me to see what our society has turned into. Young girls behaving like sluts. Whores. Eek.

Blame it on the influence of the West if you must, but they're not entirely at fault. I'm not saying that they don't do this, but to see this coming from your own backyard? It's disturbing, really. I guess you might say "Hey look at Miley Cyrus! Or how about Vanessa Hudgens? They did that, 10 times worse actually." What, you wanna follow in their footsteps? Have you no dignity???

Good role models? I think not! Surely you would know that you're not giving much of an impression to people? Your peers are probably looking at you and thinking 'Eh, what a slut.'

I know you can say and show and do whatever you want in your own blog, and honestly speaking you are free to do so (I'm doing that myself lol =P), but do you really care that little about the impression you give to others? It's disgraceful lah, seriously.

Ugh. No dignity at all. Soon she'll be posing naked I bet, Kim Kardashian anyone?

(BAH I think this is less of me bitching and more of me sounding like some old lady lamenting about the behaviour of youngsters when I'm only 20 myself)

Let's bitch some more Trix, BWAHAHAHA!

Semester No. 3

Music: Keane - Spiralling

Oh yes, it's the 3rd semester already and classes just started earlier today.
Only 3 subjects this sem, Management, Marketing amd Moral. All the Ms.
Seriously, Mgt and Mkt looks dull, and I'm suppose to major in this? Kinda sucks =(

Had Moral and Marketing today. Believe it or not, Moral seems to be quite interesting. Don't worry guys, it's nothing like secondary school Moral. This is so much better, you actually get to learn about ethics and philosophies and stuff. Doesn't sound too bad huh? The lecturer seems kinda nice too, Noraini something. Not sure if she's a Miss or Mrs? Most of the Malay teachers I had back in my school days (and IPG. Uh I mean PTPL. Whatever.) were really, really boring but Noraini's actually not bad. And pretty open-minded too. For our first lesson today she actually talked about human sexuality (one of the topics for Moral actually XD)...and we discussed, or rather, she 'educated' us about masturbation and bestiality mwahahahaha! If you don't know what the latter means, go look it up in Google or something and you'll see what I mean. So, yeah moral was surprisingly quite interesting.

Marketing was...dull. Mostly because I took my cough medicine before class so uh, I was super drowsy lol. Hopefully it gets better? Cos I have 8 hours of that and 8 hours of Management each week. Yes I'm not kidding! And 6 hours of Moral too. I guess that's what you get for a short semester.

What else? Oh yeah. I've been sick since Friday night. Fever, sore throat, the whole deal. What a great way to spend the last few days of hols! *pouts*
