Of Vampires & Bats

Music: ABBA - Dancing Queen

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
to all my fellow vampires and bats muhahahaha!

On top of that, it's the last day of college! Double celebration!

Also, I went to watch Mamma Mia with my mum, and it was fun to sing along and all. There was some halloween party thingy in Gurney as well, so it was kinda noisy. But cool. Some of the people were really dressed up, and I think there was some sort of a halloween canine fashion show. Clown-ified dogs everywhere. Great way to start a three-month holiday!

Lack of Urgency

Music: Lady GaGa - Just Dance

In about 1 hour and 15 minutes, I'll be sitting for my Moral exam, and yet here I am blogging.

Goes to show how bored I am lol. And how much I'm studying...

Let's just say that I've been staring at my notes for the past two days, so I deserve a break right?

Anyway, the paper starts at 4pm and ends at 7pm. Why so late? Sigh. My next paper - tomorrow (Management), is at 8am so I don't have much time left to study for it tonight. And that's the subject with the most things to remember. Just great. I hope I won't screw up that paper.

To top that off, I haven't been sleeping well for the past 4 - 5 days. Not sure why. Stupid neck was aching on Monday, and last night (aka this morning) was one of those imsomniac-ish moments. Only fell asleep around 3am or so (same scenario on Tuesday morning). Hopefully I can sleep better tonight, after all one paper down, and only two more to go!

Once again, wish me luck guys!

A New Obsession!

Music: The Ting Tings - That's Not My Name

Is anyone else watching the Gem of Life? Currently showing on Astro on Demand? Cos if you're not...too bad!

The first five episodes ends tonight and I must say...I like that show! (Even though it's 82 episodes long) Better than Moonlight Resonance, the problems are a little bit more realistic, and I love three female leads anyway =D If anyone's planning on buying the DVD...tell me, I wanna borrow it lol.

The acting is better, the cast is more experienced (minus Linda Chung) and I like what the show is about - GEMS! =D Gigi Lai looks great in this show, I think. Moses Chan looks cool (yes I am a fan of his!) and it's been quite a while since Bowie Lam and Wong Hei acted in anything at all. Of course, there's Bosco Wong but for once I'm watching this show for the cast and not because of one particular actor or something.

One more thing. I forgot to mention this I think, I cut my hair about one month or so ago, but I didn't post any pics of me new hairstyle here so...

I camwhored tonight! Just to get a decent shot of my hair lol.
(Crap I think I have panda eyes @.@)

Also, a few random shots taken in Inti for the past few weeks:

Me colorful collection of highlighters! 9 colors.

Same day, random pic of Santi. I can't remember why I took it..... O_O

Random shot of some chairs opposite where we were sitting. I love the lighting!

Still the same day: Haan-Ming...studying?

Nah, she's doodling!

Random shot of Mr. Goh's Management class. Well actually Suet Nee wanted to take a pic of Mr. Goh himself but I can't zoom in on my phone so...I took this instead.

The same class, last Thursday if I'm not wrong. My stuff is all over the table =P

Inti library; taken from the back of the library.

Me, Haan-Ming.
Yesterday, after the presentation, in the library. (@Hm: Your face looks fine lah lol)

Hm, all dressed up like a lawyer LOL!

Sharyl and Hm, a few weeks ago.
Can't remember what they were trying to do...something emo I assume!

Ahem. Please take no offense, these pics are just for fun k!! =P

(Is it just me or is Streamyx really screwing up this week? It took me ages to get the links for all these pics!)

Presentation Woes - Part 2

Music: Britney Spears - Womanizer

Oh well. It's over now. And as usual, we just can't seem to get through presentations without facing any problems. SERIOUSLY! What the hell is wrong with us? *sigh*

It started off smoothly enough. Suet Nee went through her slides, I went through mine (my left shoe dislodged itself from my foot though. Caused a few laughs I guess? It was my mum's shoes so I wasn't used to it k!) and we both did okay I think. Haan-Ming went next, she was all right too. Things seemed to going well until...Santi's turn. She just totally froze. Too nervous I guess, stage-fright and all that. It was quite nerve-wrecking to see her freeze like that =( So Suet Nee and I had to help her out with her slides and...well. I'm really, truly sorry about what happened, but I guess it just...happened.

(Will we be graded for this presentation btw? Blur me, I'm not very sure.)

See?? We just can't present our stuff smoothly no matter what.

Carpe diem, people. Seize the day!

~ One hour later...

Music: Kukui - Utsusemi no Kage

Hi, it's me again.

I am...very bored. Well, actually I'm suppose to be studying but eh, why study when you can do totally random stuff like...taking random pictures and then blogging randomly.

Yeah, I know I tend to make totally random blog posts, especially when I'm bored. (It's very obvious this month. 20 posts in 23 days!)

So anyway, today's random blog post is about....my desk. Oh yes.

Back in January, my desk looked like this. Neat right?

Well now it looks like...

.
..
...
..
.

Bahahaha! Very messy (Lelouch and C.C. sis! =D)

And then we have...

I really need new shelves...

Inspired by Becky's amazing collection of anime...here's mine (updated version):

Not much of a collection. In fact, some of those belongs to Becky instead. My Blood + is somewhere downstairs.

Stuff I downloaded, as opposed to actually buying them.

Okay, that's all for now. Stay tuned for more random blogging!

(I wanted to post some random pics of Inti stuff but my phone refuses to connect to the computer so...maybe next time!)

Yours truly,

The Queen of Random Blogging

Presentation Woes...Again!

Music: Kanye West - Love Lockdown

Call us overly enthusiastic, or whatever you like, but guess what - we made a presentation fashion faux pas again. Oh, I'm so proud of myself.

Remember back in June? Suppose to dress formal, we turned up in casual clothing. Well well. It's the opposite this time around.

We were all dressed up when we didn't have to! You see, there are 12 groups presenting, the first 6 groups finished presenting today and THEY were the ones who had to dress formal.

...and no we were not one of the first 6 groups. We will be presenting tomorrow...as the TWELFTH GROUP.

Get the picture now? First six groups, formal. The next six groups, casual.

......

Go ahead and laugh at us :(

Sigh. Fools we are, indeed. Anyway, wish us luck with the presentation tomorrow.

One More Week

Music: Keane - You Haven't Told Me Anything

There ya go, just changed my playlist. No more depressing, emo songs, it's all cheerful and bouncy now (okay the 'depressing' one is still in the playlist actually but it's now surrounded by more cheery stuff).

Anyway, one more week to what? One more week till freedom! For the rest of the year! Just three days of exams from next Wed to Fri, and then it'll be the end of my first year in INTI.

After that, three - four months of rotting. Somehow...I'm not really looking forward to that though. Imagine, three months of doing nothing - it's scarily boring! Guess I'll have to get a job, or take some classes or something.

Btw, I'm getting kinda addicted to Britney's 'Womanizer'. Don't ask me why, it's just so catchy!

(Kanye West loves Keane O.o How awesome (and weird) is that? I love the song Love Lockdown by Kanye anyway lol)

An Ode and a Rainbow

Music: Travis - Song to Self

Ode to J. Smith

Ode to J.SmithTravis is back with a new album, released around two weeks ago. I downloaded it the moment it was released but put off listening to it until now. And I have to say, Ode to J. Smith is definitely one of the better albums released this year. Yes, it trumps both Viva La Vida and Perfect Symmetry! And let's just say I wasn't really a big fan of Travis before this. (I'll have to thank Sharyl for reviving my interest in Travis lol)

It's quite different from their last album, a lot more rockier. No more Coldplay or Keane comparisons for now, thank God. If you're looking for another 'Closer', you'll be quite disappointed. But then again, this album is so much better than 'The Boy With No Name'. (8.5/10)

Favourites: Chinese Blues, Something Anything, Friends, Song to Self, Broken Mirror & Before You Were Young. ♥

In Rainbows

In Rainbows Okay this was released last year, however I had only listened to it not too long ago. Wasn't really a big fan of Radiohead either, but I thought I'd give this album a try. In Rainbows is pretty good actually, much better than half of the stuff I usually listen to. I prefer their older songs though. Quirkier. Still, it's a great album so, (8.5/10)

Favourites: House of Cards, Weird Fishes/Arpeggio, Bodysnatchers.

~.~

I finally watched Hakushaku to Yousei, or Earl and Fairy last night. The one with the Tamaki lookalike.

I love the art and the animation, it's good but the story's a bit...eh. Fairy doctors? Earl of Blue Something Something? It sounds like Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell! And it's suppose to be a shoujo anime. Not a fan of that. Will I continue watching this? I guess. It could get more interesting. P.S: Edgar really does look like Tamaki!

P.S: Wooohoooo just got my own original copy of Perfect Symmetry! *twirls*

I'm Tired. Really.

Music: Keane - My Shadow

- Keane Lyrics

I am so obsessed with this song, I tell you. I've been listening to it all day long, and I'm still not bored of it. Great song. Stay a little longer here, and listen to it.

Anyway, I just wanna to blog a bit before the day ends.

There's a moral test tomorrow, and I'm still kinda unprepared. The Marketing quiz today sucked. Only got 27/50. And those were just true/false questions! I know I didn't really study for it but still....true/false! How unlucky can I be? (Apparently, very!)

Sigh. I hope my Marketing assignments turn out okay. Otherwise I'll have to like, study three times harder for my finals! *hyperventilates*

Well, I should get back to studying for Moral now.

Moral in less than 24 hours. Wish me luck, thanks!

Tales of the Abyss Update

At the rate I'm going, I guess I'll be blogging about every single episode of Tales of the Abyss. LOL. Yes, I am that obsessed!

Anyway. Just watched it. Ep 3 is a lot more interesting than the previous two episodes. More development of Jade, didn't see much of Anise, Luke's as annoying as ever, Guy reappears and Tear rocks! :P

Also, the introduction of the God-Generals. Finally, the other teenage red-head appears (I'm itching to mention his name but eh, spoilers). Alas I can say, so far so good. Keep up the good work Sunrise, please don't ruin TOTA for us fans k?

There is something that bothers me though. Usually, fans of a game would want the anime to follow the game quite closely. HOWEVER...I think Sunrise is taking it a bit too far. Almost every little detail from the game is included in the freaking show! Right down to that conversation about Luke with Tear and Anise. And they didn't even try rephrase it or something! Wtf. I guess that was quite necessary to reveal Mieu's gender though.

But that was not the only part! Too much detail on their escape from the Tartarus. Fighting the ligers. Fighting the soldiers. Luke's reluctance to kill humans.

At the rate they're going, it's gonna take a lot more than 26 episodes to wrap up the whole thing. Sigh.

One more thing...*cough* ION = BLACK STAR FROM SOUL EATER??? OMFG! O.O

It's Dance Season People!

Music: Keane - My Shadow

Oh yes, dance season.

Everyone is churning out dancey music, for some very odd reason.

But WHY? Britney's doing it, Christina and Hilary too, and even Keane for heaven's sake. KEANE! (OK that's more of disco 80s pop thingy but still...disco = dance!) Major wtf season.

Dance music is all the rage now.

Here, have a look at Britney's new video:

She's naked guys! What fun. It's Toxic Part II. On the bright side, I'm glad she's finally back in the business, looking quite healthy.

~.~.~

I finally watched the first episode of Gundam 00 after one week. Bahahaha am I slow or what?

Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea what's happening in the show. Didn't even recognize Saji. At least Setsuna and Tieria looks great. Poor Allelujah, all tied up. GO RESCUE the poor fellow guys!

Book-Aholic

Music: Yui - Summer Song

Within two weeks, I bought...

Bahahahaha.

Five books in (less than actually) two weeks!

Well I only bought Gossip Girls because of the 3 for 2 thingy. Needed The Twilight Watch to complete my collection.

(Why am I such a sucker for trilogies???)

Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!

Edit:
Anyway, I just watched the 2nd episode of TOTA. So far so mediocre lol.
The only thing interesting for now is the interaction between Luke, Tear and Mieu.
And....ANISE IS ANNOYING! And what's with the freaking spoilers? Jade used Indignation waaaaay too soon >.< That is his ultimate attack and all, and he uses it in the first battle? Wrong move, Sunrise. Wrong move.

Will finally watch Gundam 00 tomorrow. Tieria Erde, hereeeeee I come!

Friday, October 10, 2008

Watch!

Watch this, watch this!~
It's so cute XD
(if you watch Gundam 00 I mean)

Perfect Symmetry Review

Music: Keane - Perfect Symmetry (Album)

All right it's just a few days before the official release of Keane's third album Perfect Symmetry and you can already listen to it in last.fm. Weird marketing tactic? Dr. Z would be so....not proud lol.

Anyway, I've decided to review it now. First impressions are important lol.

Album Cover

11 tracks on the album, starting with:

Spiralling - Well like I've said before, it's an okay song. Catchy but a bit weird (7.5/10)

Lovers Are Losing - Ah I like this song. I really do lol. Loved it the first time I heard it. (8.5/10)

Better Than This - I have to admit, this song is a bit weird. But I still kinda like it. Not sure why though, I usually hate this kind of music! (7.5/10)

You Haven't Told Me Anything - OKAY this song is just a little weird-ish to me. Weird, strange beats. Funny melody too...sounds like Mystery Jets O.o (6/10)

Perfect Symmetry - Supposedly the best track of the album, but I personally think it's just okay. Sounds like a weird mix of Queen and Coldplay. Nice song, really. But a little overhyped. (9/10)

You Don't See Me - Personally, this is one of my favourites so far. Again, I'm not sure why. (9.5/10)

Again and Again - Not too bad. Kinda like it. It sounds decidedly 80s-ish. I think I can bear to listen to this Again and Again (8/10)

Playing Along - Ooh now this I love! It's a lot more Keane-ish than the other songs, and I like the slower pace and the melody. Best track of the album, hands down. The Death and All His Friends of Perfect Symmetry! (10/10)

Pretend That You're Alone - Bahaha the first sentence of the song cracks me up. Reminds me of Coldplay's Lost - big fish in a little pond. First we have fish, now we have MONKEYS. What the hell. Weird song. (6/10)

Black Burning Heart - Another song I love. Awesome track. I'm not sure why it got quite a number of negative comments, it's actually one of the better songs. But eh, just my opinion. And it reminds me of Radiohead a little, and that's a really good thing. (10/10)

Love Is The End - Not bad. Nice song. Could have been better though. (8/10)

Extra:

My Shadow - Awesome song, how come it's only available for the Japanese version + Itunes pre-order?? Not fair! (10/10)

Overall...Perfect Symmetry sounds like a very weird mix of U2, David Bowie, Queen and several other 80s artists. Well that's a lot better than sounding exactly like U2 and U2 alone! Some variation exists at least, THANK GOD lol.

Actually, this album reminds me of Viva La Vida @.@ And that means...it's just mediocre. It's not bad, it's pretty good to be honest. BUT. Not really my cup of tea. Sorry Keane and Coldplay. There's always the fourth and fifth album...

Final Rating - 7.5/10

Personal Recommendation: Playing Along**, Black Burning Heart, You Don't See Me, Perfect Symmetry, Lovers Are Losing. Extra: My Shadow

Jadeee

Oh gosh.

I'm completely obsessed with meganes now! (those who have no idea what that means...go google it up :P)

All thanks to Jade Curtiss from Tales of the Abyss and Tieria Erde of Gundam 00!

And don't forget Kyouya Ootori from Ouran!

Okay, it all started from the dashing Kyouya Ootori, who was the first megane I've ever liked.

Then I played TOTA. And thought, "OH GOD! Jade kinda looks (and behaves, sorta) like Kyouya. MEGANES!" *drools*

And then there's Tieria, whom I did not like that much in the first season, but in the second...*swoons* PURPLE HAIRED MEGANE! Another good reason to go crazy over him *swoons yet again*

Fine, I have yet to watch G00 but what the heck. Tieria looks great, that's the only thing that matters bahahaha.

(woohoo, I've been blogging about anime stuff for the last 6 posts or so! Am I crazy or what? Although this is no where as crazy as Becky's beautiful gay blog HAHA :P)

Back to Coll - Again

Sigh.

One week of holidays just isn't enough, you know?

It leaves you longing for more.

And guess what greeted me on my first day back...a beautiful Management Test!

...which I think I'm gonna fail :(

Blame it on holidays I guess, I didn't even look at my notes till Friday evening. And that was too late. Sorry about that Haan-Ming! ^_^' And yes I may have looked at it then, but I didn't really bother to read it. Just started last night. Which is bad!

'Laziness = Failure' I'm about to prove this equation bwahaha.

I spent 7 out of 10 days onlining for about 10 hours each day muhahaha.

Now I have to spend about like 5 - 6 hours each day in classes. Bah.

I also have a Moral assignment due tomorrow. It's suppose to be at least 4 pages long I think but so far I only have about like, 3 pages.

This is the question I chose if anyone's interested:

'Universal Ethical Egoism states that everyone ought to always serve their own self-interests even if that means harming others. What do you think about this way of acting and give a detailed example to reflect your opinions.'

...fun question eh?

P.S: Please watch Tales of the Abyss guys! It's out on mkv format.

A little dull for the first ep, but then again that was my first impression of the game too lol. Despite that, it's still good so far! It really followed the game, right down to the attacks by those...beasts thingy. NEED EP 2 IMMEDIATELY!

Look Look!

TAMAKI LOOKALIKE!!!

*swoons*

Watch Hakushaku to Yousei to get a closer look at him!

Blog Makeover

Bahahaha thanks to my recent obsession with Death the Kid from Soul Eater I've decided to Kid-ify my blog!

Everything must be perfectly symmetrical so if you notice anything that's not....tell me!!

I'm still thinking of adding some Kid stuff to the background but for now I can't think of anything symmetrical, so if you have any ideas feel free to tell me.

Anyway, tell me what you think of this so far :)

Kid <3

Mourning

Music: Bump of Chicken - Karma

I'm getting teary-eyed thinking about Tales of the Abyss again :(

*paces back and forth*

When's the sub coming out? I need TOTA! *mourns*

I hate sad, open-ended endings. It's freaking annoying!

........

Gaah I need a sequel for this game! *sighs*

Edit:

I can't stand it anymore, I watched the raw for TOTA! *grins like idiot*

The graphics look stunning even on youtube, honestly speaking. Just beautiful. Oh Luke, Guy - you guys look gorgeous!

Bahahahaha maybe I'm just biased.

Saturday, October 04, 2008

Bahahaha!

Music: T.M. Revolution - Resonance

I found a new website to watch my beloved Soul Eater and D.Gray-Man! And Nabari no Ou too! Bahahahahaha!

No downloads involved, all I have to do is wait a bit.

Bahahahaha!

Finally!

It's animaxim.com if anyone else is interested.

(You might have recommended this site Becky darling but I can't remember if you did so if you did...thanks!)

BTW, is anyone else having problems with Streamyx these few days? Something's wrong with mine...everything loads slow, and my downloads refuse to move :(

Fall Anime

Music: Outkast - Ms Jackson

Bahaha the fall anime season returns, and it looks really promising.

First on my watchlist would be...

Tales of the Abyss

Sis you absolutely HAVE to watch this!
*skips about*
BAHAHAHA I love this game, so hopefully I'll love the anime as well?
And Karma is still the opening theme!

Hakushoku to Yousei

Looks interesting. And that Tamaki lookalike that Mandy mentioned in her blog XD The seiyuu cast looks pretty good too.

Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae (Season 3!)

Was really surprised when I saw the news actually. Ai's back! Wonder what happened...curious to know so yeah, looking forward to this too. Go Ai!

Vampire Knight: Guilty

First season wasn't that impressive. Bored me to tears actually. If Mamo's not voicing Zero, I definitely won't be watching another season of it. Bahahaha.

Gundam 00 Season 2

Ah. Now this is one sequel I'm really looking forward to. You know what, I actually prefer Gundam 00 over Code Geass for now! Sorry Mandy, Becky. Code Geass R2 just....made me wanna strangle the Sunrise staff. I think they ran out of original ideas or something. The ending is horrible!

Shikabane Hime aka Corpse Princess

Looks interesting. Nice song too.

Ga-Rei -Zero-

Looks interesting too.

Can't wait for TOTA! It premieres today or tomorrow? Not sure but anyway YAY! *does the happy skipping onion routine*

Wednesday, October 01, 2008

Music: Kukui - Hikari no Rasenritsu

A few new people to add to my idiot list (too lazy to rank them):

1. Schneizel - Code Geass (moron!)
2. Nunnally - Code Geass (idiot!)
3. Cornelia - Code Geass (purple-haired twit!)
4. Ah Sa - Moonlight Resonance (don't you ever shut up?)
5. Yu So Sum/Chau - Moonlight Resonance (your presence is not needed)
6. Chaoji - D.Gray-man (why Mamo, why?)

I'm back!

Music: Travis - Closer

*huggles my beloved comp*

No wait, it doesn't deserve to be hugged! *frowns*

Anyway, I'm baaaaaaack! (for two days already actually, just too lazy to blog about it)

BUT.

It's still pretty slow, despite the reformatting. What the hell's the ram for the CPU eh?? Sigh.

Oh well, at least it's back.

So...what's there to update about? Well, it's the 6th day of the 'study week' and I have yet to study anything. Is that good or what? XD

Failed with assignments too. Only thing I've typed so far is the word 'ASSIGNMENT'. Brilliant.

Oh oh and Code Geass R2 ended two days ago. Can't say much about it, since I'm still stuck at episode 16, BUT I know the story already BWAHAHAHAHA *can't resist spoilers* ~ spoiler freak ~

Well. THAT wasn't the ending I expected. Wanted something more...definite. Unfortunately, it's anything but. It's as open ended as TOTA, but on a more depressing level. Sorry about Lelouch, Mandy, hope you feel better soon though :(

What else??

Hmmmmmmm I've got nothing. So I'll be gone for now. Happy October anyway!

Oops before I forget,

Selamat Hari Raya to all!
