I've listened to a lot of songs in 2009, and you know what I thought it was a great year for music. What with the Lady Gaga craze, and the Taylor Swift phenomenon that started in 2008 and spilled over to 2009 with a huge splash, and of cos my personal favourite of the year - nothing US related - Kalafina. Okay so maybe Kalafina was already around before 2009 but I've only heard of them sometime last year. I think.

So anyway here's a list of my favourite artiste/songs of 2009. In no particular order:

Lately I've been reading a lot of blogs.
I guess that's just what you'd do when you're bored.
Anyway. Reading blogs is still a lot better than doing nothing.

About the blogs.
Well what can I say.
There are various types of blogs.
Most of them are pretty much journals, detailing their daily lives, or any interesting occurences.
Some are informative, full of...information about anything. I suppose that's for advertisement purposes?
Or maybe that person's just trying to be helpful. Or sharing knowledge?

Personally, I prefer those slice-of-life kinda blogs.
It's interesting to know how other people are leading their lives.
I've noticed most of those bloggers are kinda...rich though.
Jetting off to all sorts of countries. How nice...*ish jealous*

Then again there are some blogs that are just plain annoying.
Boastful, self-absorbed individuals who enjoy putting others down and flaunting their riches.
Making fun of other people who can't afford the same luxury as theirs.
Gucci, Prada, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. I can probably afford that too, geez...*crosses fingers*
Okay fine we get it, you're rich. Feel free to blog about your...rich escapades or exclusive presents or whatever.
But please - do learn something called humility.
I suppose that word just doesn't exist in their vocabulary.

On second thoughts, don't bother. It's entertaining. Keep boasting and showing off.

There are also bloggers who use really...big words.
Like, really, really big words.
Discombobulate comes to mind cos guess what - I'll probably need a dictionary to understand one simple blog post.
Good for literature, not good for interacting with us mortals.
Keep it real dudes.

I'm also really curious about those bloggers who only advertises stuff.
It's kinda boring no?
All about some new product, or some event, or some contest or something.
At least it's informative?

Seriously ppl. The simpler your blog is, the better it is to be honest.
Doesn't really matter what kind of blog it is.

(Do I really have the right to make such um, comments? I mean my blog isn't anything fantastic either. Oh well.)

All right, here are the long overdue pictures of my room. Mind you it looks very messy, but I was too lazy to clean it up before snapping the pics. So...

The Winter 2010 animes are out now and I must say...I think they're running out of good ideas.

There's this anime about lace panties or something, called Chu-Bra.
Lace panties? What the hell man. The creators must be absolute perverts.

Then there's another about breast milk. BREAST MILK people. And the one with the breast milk is a DUDE. I believe the title of that show is Seikon no Qwaser.

Let's just say I won't be watching those two.

Nothing too interesting this time around, so I'm only watching Durarara!!, Ookamikakushi (from the creator of Higurashi and Umineko, obviously I'm most excited about this one!) and So-ra-no-wo-to/Sora no Woto.

Is anyone else watching Kimi ni Todoke? Surprisingly I'm hanging on to this, I don't usually fancy sappy shoujo stuff. And this one is seriously super shoujo.

The characters are maddening, especially the leads Sada- Sawako and Kazehaya. Super super shoujo! I mean, the only thing they do is stare at each other shyly and blush. Seriously, c'mon just confess and get it over with. I find myself skipping parts of the anime because of the lack of action. Only the side characters are doing something, so kudos to Ayane, Chizu and Ryuu. (Ryuu really reminds me of Mori-sempai from Ouran O.o)

And I think Haruhi Suzumiya has ruined Aya Hirano for me. Every time I hear her voice I can only think of Miss Haruhi and no one else. When I first heard Kurumi I thought 'OMG is that Haruhi Suzumiya?!' And indeed, it is her. Why does she voice all the super annoying characters? Kurumizawa Ume must be one of the most maddening 'villains' in shoujo animes ever.

Speaking of Haruhi Suzumiya, the movie is coming out sometime in February. Should I be excited? I kinda actually am excited to watch it, despite the endless second season.

What else? Ooooh The Killers and Muse will be performing in Singapore on the 24th of January and 3rd of February respectively! If I remember correctly Muse came to Malaysia way back in 2007, and I recall being super excited then too =( Too bad I couldn't go back then, I wonder if I'll have the chance this time around? Sigh.

(Once again, I sigh too much. Sigh.)

That's all for now I guess, nothing else I can think of to blog about.

The first post of 2010!
I shall dedicate this to my new blog layout.
Whaddya think of it?
I know it's a very simple layout but I kinda like it.
Easy to read. And to edit.
And the colors.
Black and some shade of bright pink.
I don't know why, but I'm suddenly addicted to all shades of dark pink.
Coming from the person who dislikes the color pink, now that's some food for thought.

So anyway, it's already the 7th day of the new year.
A few more weeks till CNY I believe?
To think that I celebrated my 21st birthday last year.
2 x 2.
Sigh.
Dammit I feel old.

I guess I should start inquiring about enrollment?
It should be soon...the coming semester starts in March, I believe.
Some are leaving for Australia and I can't help but feel kinda jealous.
I wanna leave this country too!
Sigh.

I sigh too much.
